'Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat' programme held in Ukhrul

Ukhrul, July 28 2026: A district-level programme on 'Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat' was organised at Career Pathfinder Hall, Hamleikhong, Ukhrul, on Tuesday to spread awareness among youths on the dangers of substance abuse and promote a healthy and responsible lifestyle.

The programme was organised by Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat), Ukhrul, in collaboration with Career Pathfinder and Born Against Rehabilitation Centre.

Managing Director Peacemoon Zimik attended the programme as the chief guest, while Deputy Director Worchipem AC and social activist Wungreithan RA served as resource persons.

The resource persons highlighted the importance of collective efforts in combating substance abuse and empowering youths towards the vision of a 'Nasha Mukt Bharat' and 'Viksit Bharat' .

As part of the programme, various competitions, including painting, slam poetry, dance, music, slogan writing, skit performance, meme creation and reel making, were organised to engage participants creatively and meaningfully.

The activities provided a platform for youths to express their perspectives and ideas on building a drug-free society.

A large number of youths and students from various schools in Ukhrul town participated in the programme.
