JAC on Lukhoi killing constituted

Imphal, April 28: With N Lukhoi of Awangkhunou succumbed to his injuries today at Shija Hospitals, people of the area constituted a JAC against the killing and decided to take various agitation in this connection.

The JAC decided to submit a memorandum to local MLA Dr S Budhichandra regarding the killing.

The JAC also demanded the Government an ex-gratia of Rs 5 lakh to the kin of the deceased before shradha ceremony and a Government job to his wife.

The JAC also warned that they would impose economic blockade along NH 53 if there demands are not met.

Some unidentified gunmen pumped in Lukhoi with several bullets on the night of April 21 at a concert organised in connection with a swasthi puja at Sagoltongba Lansonbi Bazar.
