Imphal, January 28 2026: Two cadres of KCP (City Meitei) were arrested by police from different places today.

A cadre of KCP (City Meitei) identified as Longjam Nelson Singh alias Thoiba (22) of Thangmeiband Hijam Dewan Leikai, Imphal West was arrested from his locality.

Another cadre of the same outfit identified as Nongthombam Isingchaoba Singh (19) alias Kondum of Wangkhei Wangkheimayum Leirak was also arrested from Kongba Laishram Leikai Heinoubon, Imphal East, said a press release issued by the Police Control Room.

In a separate incident, two vehicle lifters were arrested from the Kanglapat area today.

The two vehicle lifters have been identified as K Robert (24) of Awang Khunou Mayai Leikai and Md Tomba (24) of Yairipok Phouden.

A two-wheeler vehicle, a red TVS Centra (AS-01-AA-4095), which the duo stole earlier in the day from the Kakhulong area was recovered from them at the spot, said the Police Control Room.
