Kha Manipur College celebrates diamond jubilee

Kakching, July 27 2026: Kha Manipur College (KMC), Kakching, celebrated its Diamond Jubilee today, marking the completion of 60 years of its existence, at the college multipurpose hall.

The celebration began with the unveiling of the Diamond Jubilee Memorial Stone by Kakching AC MLA Mayanglambam Rameshwar, who attended the event as chief guest.

Principal of Kha Manipur College, Dr Okram Rudrababu, presided over the function, while former Minister from Kakching AC Nongmaithem Nimai and Director of University and Higher Secondary Education, Manipur, Laishram Radhakanta, attended as guests of honour.

As part of the celebration, the presidium members planted saplings on the college campus and visited stalls put up by various departments of the college.

The dignitaries also released the college's annual magazine, annual report and innovative research books during the programme.

Founding members of the college who are still alive, selected teachers, and students who excelled in academics, culture and sports were also felicitated with gifts as a mark of appreciation and encouragement by the college authority.
