'Nasha Mukti Yuva for Viksit Bharat' held in Noney

Noney, July 25 2026:
The "Nasha Mukti Yuva for Viksit Bharat", a national youth campaign aimed at creating a drug-free India, was held at Khumji Community Hall in Noney district on Saturday.
The programme was organised by Mera Yuva Bharat, Noney, in collaboration with the Khumji Village Authority to sensitise youths on the harmful effects of drug, substance and alcohol abuse and promote a drug-free society.
The programme was conducted in two sessions.
The first session featured Grace Gonmei, Psycho Counsellor, OSC Noney, as the resource person.
She spoke on the harmful effects of addiction, peer pressure and the importance of mental health and counselling among youths.
The second session featured a district-level competition in which students and youths from across Noney district participated in folk song, dance, debate, slogan writing, mime, painting, poetry and reel-making competitions based on the theme "Say No to Drugs".
A large number of students, youths and village leaders attended the programme.
Participants also took a pledge to stay away from drugs and spread awareness about the dangers of substance abuse in their respective villages and schools.
