Young achievers feted

Wangkhem Block Congress Committee in association with One Home Foundation organised a felicitation programme to honour young academic and sports achievers at the residence of Wangkhem Assembly Constituency MLA Keisham Meghachandra in Yairipok Bishnunaha.
Students felicitated at the event include position holders in the Class XII examination 2025 conducted by Council of Higher Secondary Education Manipur (COHSEM).
The event was attended by MLA Keisham Meghachandra as the chief guest; Alhaj Keramat Ali, president, Wangkhem Block Congress Committee as the functional president and Konsam Ongbi Kunjamani Devi, president, Wangkhem Block Mahila Congress Committee; Sorokhaibam Kunjeshor Singh, vice-president, Wangkhem Block Congress Committee; Khundrakpam Premnath, nominee of 32-Wangkhem Assembly Constituency and local leaders as the guests of honour.
The outstanding young individuals honoured at the ceremony include Keisham Hannah Devi, a student of EK Higher Secondary School who secured the 1st position in Arts stream in HSE 2025 hailing from Yairipok Bishnunaha Awang Leikai; 6th position holder (Science) Talha Bin Shah of Herbert School from Phouden Maning Leikai; 18th position holder (Science) Mayengbam Ambaswori of Fancier Higher Secondary School from Charangpat Mayai Leikai; 19th position holder (Science) Maibam Sapana of Comet School from Phouden Kairambi and 20th position holder (Science) Laishom Dinku of Imprint Science Academy from Charangpat Maning Leikai and football player Md Arbash.
Md Arbash was named Most Valuable Player at the UI9 SAFF Championship held at Arunachal Pradesh where team India were crowned as champions.
They were honoured with a cash prize, citation and shawl each.
On the occasion, MLA K Meghachandra lauded the young achievers and urged the residents of the constituency to encourage such young persons with potential, either in sports or academics, while assuring to extend assistance from his side.
