Career Counselling & Guidance Programme held

Imphal, August 20 2025: Rotary Club of Polo City Imphal in association with Eduplus Skills and Overseas Point successfully organised a Live Career Counselling & Guidance Programme at Wangkhei High School (Model Government School) today.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr RK Ratankumar Singh, president of Rotary Club of Polo City Imphal highlighted the guiding vision of Rotary and reiterated its motto of 'Service Above Self.

He also underscored that, among the priority focus areas of Rotary, the support and advancement of youth education continues to remain a cornerstone commitment.

"As a part of this focus, the initiative was taken up with the vision of guiding students in choosing the right career paths, enabling them to become strong pillars of the nation", he added.

He continued that the programme also aims to create awareness on the importance of career guidance in Manipur, so that students can plan their career wisely, avoid wrong choices, and prepare themselves to compete at the global level with confidence and knowledge.

Sanjeev Konsom, Certified Global Career Counsellor, spoke in detail about the importance of proper career guidance and planning.

Informative flyers and brochures were distributed to more than 250 students, encouraging them to discuss career opportunities with their parents and elders before making final decisions.

Adding more value to the programme, a motivational recorded speech by Dr Bobby Soram, Principal Scientist, Advanced Hydrogen Energy Solution, South Korea, was presented, inspiring students to strive for excellence in their chosen professions.

The entire session was also live-streamed, allowing those unable to attend physically to benefit from the discussions, and ensuring that the recordings remain available for future reference.
