Imphal, December 18 2024: The five-day Shumang Leela Festival 2024 jointly organised by Manipur State Shumang Leela Council and Department of Art & Culture, Government of Manipur, in collaboration with Eastern Zonal Cultural Centre (EZCC), Ministry of Culture, wrapped up at Iboyaima Shumang Leela Shanglen today.

On the last day, "Kalpana Swayamvar" by Alternative Theatre Group and "Moraambi Angaobi" by Samadon Artiste Association were showcased.

Kalpana Swayamvar is directed by Hajarimayum Rosy Devi with GC Tongbra as the script writer and Th Satyamala, Y Sorojini, H Rosy Devi, Kangabam Sarika, Yambem Saya, Konthoujam Pariton, Yumnam Bidyalakshmi, Athokpam Monika, RK Chingkheingambi, E Sonia, L Rina, Thongam Hiyaileima, Pukhrambam Nungshiyai Chanu as actors.

Meanwhile, Robindro Langthabal took the helm as director of Moraambi Angaobi, with Tarachand Oinam as playwright.

Laishram Tomba, Kangabam Niranjan, Ronald, Sambei Ibomcha, ken Moirang, Bhumeshwor and Kenedy played the male roles in the play while Robindro Langthabal Hiramoti Thongram and Moirangthem Nganba took on the role of the female characters.
