Induction Programmes conducted

Imphal, July 17 2025: A 3-day induction programme for students newly admitted to Ideal Teachers' Training Academy (ITTA), Sajiwain B Ed 1st Semester for the academic session 2025-27, began today at the multipurpose hall of the college today.

The programme was organised by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of ITTA Sajiwa.

The inaugural function was graced by Prof Hanjabam Sukhdeba Sharma, Director, College Development Council, Manipur University; Dr Ranjan Yengkokpam, Principal, ITTA; Khagokpam Kala, president, Ideal People's Society; and Khagokpam Ronel, chairman, Governing Body ITTA as presidium members.

As part of the event, RK Rebati, a 3rd Semester student of the college and member of the Manipur team that won the 8th Senior National Six a-side Indoor Hockey Championship 2025 recently held at Maharashtra, was also felicitated.

Moreover, an induction programme for BA/BSc (Honours) 1st Semester students of GP Women's College, Imphal was held at its Central Hall yesterday.

It was attended by GP Women's College, Principal, Prof L Rajen Singh; Department of Physics, Head, Dr Maisnam Bidyasagar; College Student's Union vice president, Dr Konthoujam Indrakumar; and Teacher's Forum, GP Women's College president and Department of Botany, Head, Dr Akoijam Nirmala as presidium members.

During the programme, new students of BA/BSc (Honours) 1st Semester interacted with the teaching and non-teaching staff of the college.

IQAC co-ordinator Dr Md Baharuddin Shah elaborated on the prevailing system in the college while Mathematics Department, Head, Dr S Samarendra spoke on scholarships, schemes and career opportunities for students.
