DEO Imphal West issues SIR-2026 schedule, opens helpdesk for voters

Imphal, May 16 2026:
The District Election Officer, Imphal West, has notified the schedule for the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of Electoral Rolls, 2026, with July 1, 2026 as the qualifying date, and set up a dedicated helpdesk to assist electors.
In a notice issued Saturday, DEO/DC Mayanglambam Rajkumar Singh said the SIR-2026 is being taken up with reference to Chief Electoral Officer, Manipur letter dated 14th May, 2026, read with Election Commission of India letter dated 14th May, 2026 .
The revision process will begin with preparation, training and printing from May 20 to 29, 2026, followed by house-to-house visits by BLOs and rationalisation of polling stations from May 30 to June 28, 2026 .
The draft electoral roll will be published on July 5, 2026, after which claims and objections can be filed from July 5 to August 4, 2026 .
The notice phase and disposal of claims and objections will run from July 5 to September 2, 2026, and the final electoral roll will be published on September 6, 2026 .
The notice is for information of the public, electors under Imphal West jurisdiction, and representatives of all recognised National and State Political Parties functioning in the district.
EROs and AEROs of Imphal West have been directed to take necessary action as per ECI guidelines.
To ensure inclusion of all eligible citizens, particularly persons with disabilities, migrants and elderly electors, a helpdesk has been set up at the Receipt Section, Counter No 3, DC Office, Imphal West.
