Victims of Kpi ambush discharged from Shija Hospital

Imphal, May 15 2026:
Three Thadou individuals who were injured in an ambush at Saheibung Peak, Zero Point, located between Kotzim and Kotlen on May 13, and had been receiving treatment at Shija Hospital, have been discharged today.
The three have been identified as Thangtinlen (38), who sustained an injury on his left thigh; Gounang (26), who sustained injuries to his right shoulder and left hand; and Houpu (50), who sustained an injury on his left lower limb.
All three had been undergoing treatment at Shija Hospital since the evening of May 13 .
Meanwhile, a husband and wife who were injured in an attack by Kuki militants at Joujangtek on the night of May 13 are still undergoing treatment at Shija Hospital.
Olive Jatung (33) of Dollang village, who sustained an abdominal gunshot wound, is currently in the ICU under observation.
His wife, Aroma Thanga, who also sustained injuries is being treated in the General Surgery Ward and is reported to be in stable condition.
