Imphal, October 13 2025: A 3-day hands-on training programme on "Assessment, Evaluation & Question Setting" concluded today at the VC Court Hall, Manipur University, Canchipur.

The closing function of the workshop organised by the Examination Section, Manipur University was graced by dignitaries, including Prof Sumitra Phanjoubam, Dean, Mathematical & Physical Science, Manipur University; Tokpam Shantikumar, Controller of Examination; and Prof Maisnam Bobo, Department of Economics, Manipur University.

Speaking on the occasion, Suchitra Wangkhe, Assistant Registrar (Examinations), Manipur University said that the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 was introduced at Manipur University from the academic year 2022-2023."Under the reformed policy, the UG and PG programmes have been restructured to include a flexible, interdisciplinary curriculum.

There is now more focus on "vocational, researchbased, and skill-based education", she added.

She also shared that similar training programmes will be held in the coming months to provide a comprehensive understanding of assessment, evaluation, and question setting in line with the NEP 2020.Altogether, 86 teachers from different colleges participated in the 3-day training programme.
