Imphal, July 13 2024: The Indian Dental Association (IDA), Manipur State Branch has extended its heartfelt gratitude to the Government of Manipur on the Cabinet approval of the Manipur Health Services (Dental) Rules.

In a release, IDA Manipur State Branch stated that the framing of Manipur Health Service (Dental) Rules & its approval by the Cabinet is a milestone development of Dental Health Services in Manipur, which will further strengthen the implementation of Oral and Dental Health policies resulting in the overall oral well-being of the people of Manipur.

The association continued that the new Manipur Health Services (Dental) Rules are also great news for the 1200-plus registered dental surgeons of Manipur.

"The addition of 53 new posts will add more energy to the Dental Administration with the New Additional Director (Dental) post.

The stagnation of many Dental Surgeons in services for 23, 13, 12 & 6 years without promotion will be solved with the creation of new posts, which will also pave the way for the recruitment of new dental surgeons giving hope to the unemployed dental surgeons", it added.

The IDA Manipur State Branch also conveyed its appreciation to Chief Minister N Biren Singh, Health Minister Dr Sapam Ranjan, Cabinet Ministers, Chief Secretary who is also in charge of Principal Secretary Health, Principal Secretary (DP), Principal Secretary (Finance), Special Secretary to Chief Minister, former Honorary Secretary of IDA Manipur State Branch Dr Yumnam Suraj (Joint Secretary Health) and officials of Medical Directorate and the founder executive committee members of All Manipur State Government Dental Surgeons Association (AMSDA) who continuously-pursued for the last 7-8 years.
