Thoubal, June 12 2025: The Sikhong Sekmai Bazar Magic Association has repaired the dilapidated road condition of Yairipok to Sikhong Sekmai Bazar road under Heirok Assembly Constituency by taking their day off from their regular routine.

Speaking in this connection, Sikhong Sekmai Magic Association secretary Ningthoujam Ashatomba said that the road stretch starting from Yairipok Keithel to Sikhong Sekmai was done black topped before.

However, many portions of the road stretch are now filled with several potholes causing severe inconveniences to the commuters.

"To repair the dilapidated condition of the road stretch, the Association with assistance from the people and special contractor.

N Babu took up the initiatives: to fill up the potholes along the road stretch by taking their day off from their daily routine," said Ashatomba.

He also appealed to the MLA of Heirok AC to repair the road stretch, which is a lifeline for many people by including in the work programme.
