14 households join BJP at Charoi Phoibut village

Noney, May 08 2026: In a significant political development in Nungba Assembly Constituency, 14 households from the Indian National Congress (INC) formally joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) during a Booth strengthening-cum-reception programme held at 54/14 Polling Booth, Charoi Phoibut village on Friday.

The programme was organised by BJP Nungba Mandal and attended by several party leaders, workers and local residents.

Speakers at the programme praised the developmental initiatives and people-oriented leadership of Dipu Gangmei since his election to the Manipur Legislative Assembly in 2022.They stated that despite the prolonged instability and various challenges faced by the State in recent years, the MLA has remained committed to the welfare and development of the people.

Among those present at theprogramme were BJP Nungba Mandal president Makuphun Rongmei, ST Morcha Manipur Pradesh vice president Stody Dangmei, ST Morcha Tamenglong district president Kadichun Kamei, former BJP candidate and former BJP State secretary Asinpou, former Minister and MLA Jangamlung Panmei, and social worker Kadilin Gangmei.

The programme concluded with a message of unity, development and collective commitment towards building a stronger and prosperous Nungba Assembly Constituency under BJP leadership.
