Exposure visit conducted for FPOs from Ukhrul, Tamenglong, Senapati

Imphal, November 05 2025: The Sushila Foundation for Agricultural and Rural Development (SFARD) - a Cluster Based Business Organisation(CBBO), organised an exposure visit for Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs) from Ukhrul, Tamenglong and Senapati districts under the Central Sector Scheme on "Foundation and Promotion of 10,000 FPOs".

As per a release issued by SFARD, the initiative was supported by the implementing agency - North Eastern Regional Agricultural Marketing Corporation Limited (NERAMAC) .

A total of 30 fanners participated in the programme, which aimed to provide experiences and exposure to successful agricultural and agribusiness models.

During the visit, the participants explored several key institutions and enterprises including the Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Bishnupur, Likla Factory, Magfruit Factory at Nilakuthi, the Organic Outlet at Sanjenthong and other FPC offices and processing units located in Imphal east district.

Speaking in this connection, Pritam Singh, Regional Head, SFARD, stated that the exposure visit was designed to help farmers gain awareness and practical knowledge about diverse agricultural products that can be cultivated, processed and marketed both locally and outside the region.

He further highlighted that such visits provide farmers the opportunity to learn from successful organisations, explore new business ideas, new product developments and understand farming techniques.

The event concluded with an interactive session where farmers shared their experiences and discussed potential business opportunities for strengthening their respective FPOs.
