Imphal, August 05 2025: The North East Zone Cultural Centre (NEZCC), Ministry of Culture, Government of India has invited applications from local young artistes for Young Talented Artistes Award for the year 2023-24, 2024-25 and 2025-26 .

As per a notification issued by K Dinamani Singh, Director, Art & Culture, outstanding candidates can apply for the award in the categories of Folk & Tribal Music/Song & Dance, Theatre, Dance, Drama, Mime, Painting, Wood, Cane and Bamboo Craft, Traditional Handloom and Handicrafts, Pottery, etc.

Young artistes/artists in the age group of 18 to 30 years (as on 31 March 2023) are eligible to apply for the award.

The award consists of Rs 20,000, citation and memento.

The candidates should be an Indian citizen and an indigenous Manipuri.

However, candidates who have received any such awards (State/National) earlier in the same field are not eligible for the scheme, said the notification.

Interested candidates can collect the application form from the office of Directorate of Art & Culture, Manipur from August 5 onwards.

The same may be downloaded from NEZCC website https://nezccdimapur.org.in/Home/Advertisement.

Duly filled up forms should be submitted to the Directorate of Art & Culture, Manipur on or before 4 pm of August 18 .

Screening of the applicants/ candidates will begin on August 21 at 11 am .
