Nestle India Limited distributes flood relief materials

As part of Nestle India Limited's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and society initiatives, flood relief materials were distributed to 428 Self-Help Group members under Thongju Apunba Cluster Level Federation (CLF), which hosted the event.
The flood relief distribution was held today at Kongba Uchekon Khunou Awang Community Hall organised by the Manipur State Rural Livelihoods Mission (MSRLM) with Bosconet as the implementing agency.
The event was graced by N Bandana Devi, IAS, State Mission Director, MSRLM and Secretary, Skill, Labour, Employment and Entrepreneurship (SLEE) as the chief guest; Surojit Mukherjee, Head, Branch Corporate Affairs, Nestle India Limited as the special guest and Sanjay Simon Sen, Senior Manager, Branch Corporate Affairs, Nestle India Limited and Uchekon Nongchup GP Chairperson Jadumani, Bosconet officials and other notable dignitaries as the guests of honour.
Eleven essential items including rice, lentils, cooking oil, salt, soap etc were part of the relief packages.
Speaking on the occasion, N Bandana expressed gratitude to Nestle India Limited and Bosconet for providing relief materials to the flood victims of Manipur.
Stating that Manipur is a flood and earthquake prone region, she highlighted the need to take preventive measures to safeguard people from such natural disasters.
Meanwhile, Surojit Mukherjee said that Nestle India Limited had extended flood relief to SHG members of Imphal West and Imphal East.
He added that the corporation will continue to assist 5000 beneficiaries.
