Lions Club serves meal to IDPs under 'Hunger Free Week'

Imphal, January 03 2026:
Lions Club International District 322D on Saturday launched the "Hunger Free Week" for the Manipur Region at Samurou High School Relief Camp, Imphal.
The initiative, running from January 3 to 11, 2026, was launched as part of the "Hunger Free India" campaign.
On the first day of the week-long initiative, Lions Clubs under Zone XIII of Lions International District 322D organised a "Cooked Meal Distribution" programme at the Samurou High School Relief Camp, distributing nutritious meals to internally displaced persons (IDPs) staying at the camp.
The programme was jointly hosted by Lions Club of Canchipur, Canchipur Centurion, Canchipur Greater, Canchipur Palace, Canchipur Unified and Lions Club of Singjamei, demonstrating the club's commitment to ensuring food security and providing hope and dignity to those experiencing food insecurity.
