Inter-school dance competition to begin from Sep 6

Imphal, July 30 2026: Kanglei International Manipuri Arts and Culture Society (KIMACS) will organise the State Level Inter-School Manipuri Dance Competition 2026 from September 6 to 8 under the theme "Leplasi Khongpham Chetna Khunai Asigee Damak'.

The competition, based on Manipuri Patriotic songs, is being held in connection with 30th September Irabot Day.

It has been held annually since 2024 to promote culture among students.

Registration forms will be available from August 1, 2026 at KIMACS and DESAM offices, with the last date for submission on August 25 .

KIMACS said the event aims to encourage students of Classes 9 and 10, where Manipuri Dance is now a subject, and to foster patriotism, nationalism and cultural values.

Schools have been urged to support interested students and ensure wide participation.
