Imphal, May 27 2025:
The 8th foundation day of New Hope Life Foundation For Disabilities was conducted today at the conference hall of Manipur United Clubs Organisation, AMUCO located at Kwakeithel Akham Leikai today.
Cultural performances showcased by differently abled children marked the main highlight of the program.
Simple gifts were also presented to PWDs at the event.
Santa Takhellambam, vice president, New Hope Life Foundation For Disabilities graced the event as the functional president.
Addressing the gathering, Pheiroijam Nando Luwang, president, AMUCO said that PWDs should not be discouraged due to their infirmity as many eminent personalities across the world are differently abled.
Pointing out the unpredictable nature of life, he said that able-bodied persons can also become differently abled due to various circumstances or accidents.
During the ongoing conflict, many volunteers have become differently abled persons as they dedicated themselves to safeguarding the territorial integrity of Manipur.
As such, associations for PWDs are not exclusively for differently abled persons but there is a space for those who will become PwDs, he maintained.
Lauding the members/vol-unteers of New Hope Life Foundation For Disabilities for their efforts, he added that AMUCO will also extend all possible help to the Foundation.
