Bishnupur, August 26 2025: Learning about the arrest of four juveniles in connection with the suicide case of a minor girl due to cyber harassment on August 22, a mob from Thamnapokpi village stormed Bishnupur Police Station last night demanding that the accused be accorded due punishment.

However, police personnel stopped the crowd at the gate and prevented them from entering.

At this, the irate mob launched a protest and shouted slogans demanding the four arrested persons be handed over to the public and the JAC concerned.

They also demanded appropriate punishment of the arrested persons.

According to an unnamed person at the scene, the crowd stormed the police station after hearing about the arrest of four persons.

Until the authority concerned awards suitable punishment to the arrested persons, the body of the minor girl will not be claimed from the morgue, he added.

If the police issue a press note today and fulfill the people's demand then the public will cancel their proposed agitation.

Otherwise, they will proceed with their protest which will include blocking of roads among others, he maintained.

While Bishnupur police have arrested four juveniles in connection with this case, their identities have not been revealed.
