Good Governance Week: ADCIW chairs District Level Workshop

As part of the ongoing Good Governance Week, the District Administration Imphal West organised a 1-Day District Level Workshop on "Good Governance Initiatives" at the Conference Hall of DC Office Complex, Lamphelpat today.
Notably, as part of the nationwide initiative of the Department of Administrative Reforms & Public Grievances (DARPG), Government of India, Good Governance Week is being observed across the country from December 19 to 25, 2025, under the theme "Prashashan Gaon Ki Ore".
The District Level Workshop, chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Imphal West, Keisham Jadumani Singh, was attended by officers of the district administration along with various District Level Officers (DLOs), said a release issued by the office of the DC, Imphal West.
Speaking on the occasion, Jadumani said that Good Governance Week is observed to commemorate the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna and former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
He emphasized the need for all departments and officers to ensure that public services are transparent, accountable, and accessible to the public.
He also highlighted the developmental activities and welfare schemes being implemented by various departments in the district, with a strong focus on grassroots service delivery aimed at strengthening citizen-centric governance, including initiatives such as Convergence Mela, e-services, and Meeyamgi Numit, As part of the Good Governance Week observance, free medical camps for senior citizens were conducted on December 23, 2025 as a special drive for cataract detection and surgery under the Atal Vayo Abhyuday Yojana (AVYAY) .
The camps were organised in collaboration with Medilane Foundation and Imphal Eye Clinic at Khonghampat Awang Leikai Community Hall, Khonghampat, Khurkhul Panchayat Ghar, Khurkhul, and Community Hall, Samurou Awang Leikai, Samurou.
