MHRI observes 1st foundation day; awards distributed to best performing staff

Noney, May 24 2025: Under the theme of "Care with Compassion", Makaam Hospital & Research Institute (MHRI) celebrated its 1st foundation day at the conference hall of the hospital located at Longmai Bazar Noney District HQ yesterday.

The event was graced by Dinganglung Gangmei, IAS (retd), Chairman HAC and MLA Nungba Assembly Constituency; Peter Namsadai Pamei, SP Noney and Reverend Sangailung Gangmei, Chairman Mission Board, RBCC as the chief guest, guest of honour and speaker respectively.

Speaking as the chief guest, Dinganglung Gangmei stressed on the importance of establishing adequate medical facilities, good roadways and educational institutions for the development of any city or village.

He also lauded MHRI Chairman Gonmei Kaphunjok Henry and MHRI authority for providing amenities such as OT facility, ultrasound, x-ray and other laboratory facilities to the Noney public through the private hospital.

Addressing a memorandum submitted by the hospital authority, Dinganglung Gangmei said that an ambulance van with life saving equipment will be handed over to MHRI at an appropriate time.

He further advised the public to apply for health cards and other schemes and avail welfare benefits.

Addressing the gathering as the speaker of the event, Reverend Gangmei urged the hospital staff, including the nurses, to provide worthy service to the patients while adding that to be of service to the needy is to be of service to the Almighty.

As a part of the event, awards were distributed to the hospital staff for their exemplary service and performance for the year 2024-25.Notably, KP Lucy was conferred the Best Nurse Award; Gaimoliu Gonmei- Best Receptionist Award; Gaiphunsinliu Kamei- Best Pharmacist Award; Lumthuiyang Ruangmei- Best OT Technician Award; Lankhamliu Kamei- Best Lab Technician Award; Gaichamdin Dangmei- Best MTS Award; Jianchui Kamei- Best Security Award and Pouchunliu Dangmei- Best Housekeeping Award The awards were handed over to the recipients by the Chairman of MHRI and the chief guest.

Other notable dignitaries present at the event include Dr Ramthai Kamei, Assistant Professor JNIMS, HL Christian Home, SDO, Longmai (Noney), OC Noney PS, Dominique, Kenan Kamei, former president UNC, Adai Dangmei, chairman VCLA, Kasaigai Gangmei, chairman, Longmai Village Authority, Longmai Area Villages and CSO leaders, pastors, deacons and other religious leaders.
