RIMS hails Prof Salam Ranabir's inclusion in ESI Textbook of Endocrinology

Imphal, October 20 2025: Prof Salam Ranabir, DM (Endocrinology), Department of Medicine, RIMS, Imphal, has the distinction of being the sole author from the entire Northeastern region of India to contribute to the prestigious "ESI Textbook of Endocrinology".

The Director, on behalf of the entire institute of RIMS, extended heartfelt congratulations to Prof Salam Ranabir on this remarkable academic achievement.

As per a release issued by RIMS, the Endocrine Society of India (ESI) - the Nation's premier professional body of endocrinologists has been periodically revising and publishing its clinical practice guidelines and manuals, considering India-specific epidemiological patterns, population diversity, and unique patient characteristics that differ significantly from Western populations.

In its latest scholarly endeavor, ESI has released a comprehensive two-volume textbook featuring contributions from leading endocrinologists across the country.

RIMS expressed its immense pride in Prof Ranabir's inclusion in this national publication, recognizing it as a testament to his expertise, dedication, and his outstanding representation of the Northeastern region in the field of endocrinology.
