MPP elects new leadership

Imphal, July 19 2025: The Manipur People's Party (MPP) on Friday convened a special meeting at its office premises in Mapal Kangjeibung, Imphal to elect new office bearers of the party.

The meeting chaired by MPP president S Brojen Mangang elected Moirangthem Sharatchandra Singh (administration), Konthoujam Krishnachandra Singh (organisation), Dr Sorokhaibam Ibomcha Singh (chief spokesperson & media coordinator), and Ningombam Ojit Singh (political affairs & law) as working presidents of the party.

As per a release issued by MPP, Dr Kakyenpaibam Muktasana Singh (administration), Khongbantabam Sharatchandra (organisation), Oinam Goldflag Meetei (political affairs & election) and Arambam Karamjit Singh (media) were elected as general secretaries.

Ngangom Oken (administration), Irungbam Rabi Meitei (organisation), Konjengbam Romi (media) and Chanambam Tomba (election & political affairs) were elected as secretaries.

Maibam Amuba Singh (chairman, Panchayat), Asheibam Bele Singh (chairman, Loumee Lup), Elangbam Sovid Singh (chairman, IT) and Khuraijam Sanjitkumar Singh.(chairman, Cultural Cell) were also elected as members of the Cell Committee.

Thokchom Jotin Singh and Sherkhan Meinam were also included in the Central Committee.

Oinam Premdas and Ningthoujam Menaka Leima were also elected as presidents of Youth Front and Chanura Marup respectively.
