IEC campaigns intensify across hill districts under Jan Bhagidaari Abhiyan

As part of the ongoing nationwide Information, Education and Communication (IEC) campaign under Jan Bhagidaari Abhiyan - Sabse Door, Sabse Pehle, district administrations across several hill districts of Manipur on Tuesday organised awareness and outreach programmes aimed at strengthening grassroots participation in Government welfare schemes and services.
TENGNOUPAL
The District Administration, Tengnoupal organised a Janjatiya Garima Utsav at Meipou Village Community Hall under Machi TD Block covering Khangshim, Laiching Maipou and Khukarthil villages.
Altogether, 11 line departments participated in the saturation camp and extended services to around 150 participants from the three villages.
The programme featured public interaction, awareness sessions on Government schemes, grievance redressal and inter-departmental coordination.
Officials from the Health Department and District Child Protection Unit also sensitized the public on various welfare schemes.
SENAPATI
The District Administration of Senapati launched its first IEC campaign under the Janbhagidaari initiative for Song Song TD Block at the Town Community Hall, Song Song.
Representatives from departments including Agriculture, Social Welfare, Medical, Forest and banking institutions provided awareness on schemes such as PM-KISAN, PMMVY, PMSBY and PMJJBY, along with routine vaccination and other departmental programmes.
The campaign also featured plantation drives, village transect walks and sharing of success stories by beneficiaries.
Around 360 participants from 13 villages attended the programme, while 10 departmental stalls provided on-the-spot services and awareness to 242 persons.
The Health Department screened 48 persons for Tuberculosis (TB) and Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) .
PHERZAWL
The District Administration of Pherzawl organised an IEC campaign titled "Jan Bhagidaari Sabse Door, Sabse Pehle" at the district headquarters and Tipaimukh Block.
Awareness sessions were conducted on schemes related to health, education, sanitation and livelihoods, while on-the-spot registration and beneficiary verification were also facilitated.
A grievance redressal desk enabled residents to raise concerns and seek immediate assistance.
Departments including Health, Education, PHED, Forest and Revenue participated in the programme.
Special emphasis was placed on Aadhaar enrolment, AB-PMJAY and issuance of essential certificates.
Free health check-ups, diagnostic services and distribution of medicines were also conducted alongside a tree plantation drive.
KAMJONG
Deputy Commissioner of Kamjong LN Kashung launched the IEC campaign titled "Jan Bhagidaari - Sabse Door, Sabse Pehle" at the DC Kamjong Camp Office located at the 2nd MR Complex, Imphal.
Addressing the gathering, the DC informed that the campaign in Kamjong district would cover four blocks - Kamjong, Phungyar, Kasom Khullen and Sahamphung - covering 27 villages.
He stated that saturation camps, health screening camps, plantation drives and Jan Suwai programmes would be conducted during the campaign period to improve access to Government welfare schemes and services in remote tribal villages.
The launch programme was attended by ADM Kamjong HL Jain, SDO Phungyar Nirnmi A Khamrang, SDO Kasom Khullen Rohini Kumar, Campaign Nodal Officer and SDC Kasom Khullen Orient Thansing, along with DLOs .
CHURACHANDPUR
The Churachandpur District Administration conducted IEC campaigns across four locations including Churachandpur SDO Office Campus, M Songgel Community Hall for Tuibong Block, Muallum village for Singngat Block and Santing-1 for Henglep Block.
The programmes, supervised by Sub-Divisional Officers, focused on strengthening public participation in developmental activities, welfare schemes and grievance redressal mechanisms through coordinated efforts of line departments.
Officials from Health, ICDS, Education, Tribal Development, Forest and Revenue departments interacted with the public and delivered services directly.
Special emphasis was laid on Aadhaar enrolment, ration card applications and issuance of essential certificates to enable beneficiaries to access Government entitlements.
Immunisation drives and free health check-ups, including diagnostic services and distribution of medicines, were also conducted.
JIRIBAM
As part of the ongoing IEC campaign, the District Administration, Jiribam carried out a saturation and plantation drive at the Deputy Commissioner's Office Complex and Jairolpokpi village.
The drive was led by Deputy Commissioner of Jiribam, Krishna Kumar.
Around 20 saplings of different tree species were planted at the DC Office Complex, while nearly 100 saplings were planted at Jairolpokpi village.
The tree saplings were provided by the Divisional Forest Office, Jiribam to encourage afforestation and environmental protection through people's participation and mass plantation efforts.
CHANDEL
In Chandel, as part of the IEC campaign, a saturation camp along with a tree plantation drive was organised today at Chothe Lungleh village under Chandel sub-division.
The campaign was led by the Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO), Chandel, Reikimdaar Khaling.
District Level Officers (DLOs) and officials of the District Administration.
community leaders, and a large number of villagers actively participated in the programme.
The campaign aims to strengthen public participation and ensure the effective delivery of government welfare schemes and services to remote and underserved areas.
