GOC Spear Corps visits Kakching, CCpur to review security situation

CCpur/Kakching, November 18 2024: Lt Gen Abhijit Pendharkar, GOC Spear Corps visited Assam Rifles Headquarters at Kakching and Churachandpur today to review the prevailing security situation in the area.

The visit underscored the Assam Rifles commitment to ensuring peace, stability, and coordination in the area of Churachandpur, Kakching and Thoubal districts, said a press release issued by IGAR (S) .

During his visit, the GOC conducted an in-depth assessment of the ground realities, interacted with troops deployed in the field, and lauded their unwavering dedication and professionalism.

He emphasized the importance of maintaining high levels of operational readiness and continuing their exemplary efforts to uphold the safety and security of the region.

The GOC also engaged with ex-servicemen of the area acknowledging their invaluable contributions to the society and the nation, continued the press release issued by IGAR (S).

Addressing the veterans, the GOC of Spear Corps reaffirmed the Indian Army's resolve to support and remain connected with its retired personnel in addition to recognizing the role of ex-servicemen as vital members of the defense fraternity.

In addition, the GOC met civil society organisations and highlighted the importance of collaboration between the Armed Forces, local communities and civil society to effectively address security challenges in the region.

Lastly, the Spear Corps GOC complemented the troops for their steadfast commitment and efforts in ensuring peace and stability.

He urged them to remain vigilant and proactive in the face of any challenges, assuring them of his full support in all operational endeavours, concluded the IGAR (S) press note.
