PIMMSAA celebrates 3rd Foundation Day, CREFS Awards presented to displaced students

Imphal, July 16 2026: The PanIndia Manipuri Meitei Scientists and Academicians' Association (PIMMSAA) observed its 3rd Foundation Day along with the presentation of the Community Resilient Educational Financial Support (CREFS) Award at the Conference Hall of DC Imphal West, Lamphelpat today.

DC Imphal West Mayanglambam Rajkumar, graced the function as chief guest.

PIMMSAA president Khaidem Ranjankumar presided over the programme.

Former Pro Vice Chancellor of Manipur University Prof K Yugindro and Prof M Damayanti of the Life Science Department, Manipur University attended as guests of honour.

As part of the programme, CREFS Awards for this year were presented to 4 internally displaced students who secured high marks in the Class X and Class XII examinations.

Each awardee received a certificate, a memento and cash prize of Rs 10,000.In addition, 43 meritorious students were selected from among 74 applicants and were given certificates along with financial assistance.

Speaking on the occasion, Mayanglambam Rajkumar urged students to work hard with a clear goal to become future builders of society.

He said success is not possible without facing challenges and added that the achievers present today have reached this stage only through immense hard work and dedication.

He also encouraged students to develop the habit of reading newspapers.

PIMMSAA officials said the CREFS initiative aims to support displaced and deserving students affected by the ongoing crisis and to encourage academic excellence among the community.
