District Level Inter School & College Literary Meet 2025 organized by District Administration was held at the multi-purpose hall in Senapati DHQ.
With the participation of different schools and colleges in the district, various competitions were organised during the meet.
In his keynote address, Panii Ngaonii, SDC stated that such an event has been held'after a gap of 15 years.
It was held in 2010 .
The main goal of the event was to improve the students' presentation skills, public speaking and develop critical thinking skills to determine how to approach solving problems in society and contribute as a good citizen.
Apart from learning in the classroom, many students don't get opportunities to stand before the public which lowers their confidence.
Many bright students suffer from lack of confidence in social activities, competitive exams and in many spheres.
The SDC mentioned the need to equip them with wider knowledge when they aspire to go outside the State or abroad.
Addressing the gathering, Mamoni Doley (IAS) DC, Senapati stated that such events give opportunities to students to mingle with the other school students and compete in different literary events.
The DC mentioned that participation in different competitions will boost one's confidence and urged the students to enjoy the process and make memories.
The DC urged all the students to showcase their talents during the events.
The meet witnessed different competition events including painting and essay writing competitions for Classes 8-10 (for high school level), quiz and video/reel making and presentation for the higher secondary level, debate and extempore speech competitions for the college level.
Students from three different colleges took part in the extempore speech competition; thirty-five participants from 10 different schools took part in the essay writing competition; thirty-six participants from 11 schools took part in the painting competition while students from 7 different higher secondary schools took part in the quiz competition.
Additionally, eight participants took part in the video/reel making and presentation and different participants from 3 colleges took part in the debate competition.
