Mental health awareness / health camp held

Imphal, October 13 2025:
In alignment with the vision of AP Singh, president of Lions Clubs International, a Mental Health & Wellbeing Awareness Programme cum Health Camp was held at Ultou Sajor Relief Camp under "One Multiple One Activity 2025" of Lions Clubs International on Sunday.
As per a release issued by Lions Club of Imphal Greater, the initiative was a collaborative effort by Lions Club of Imphal Greater, Lions Club of Imphal Central, Lions Club of Imphal Kangla, and Lions Club of Nambol.
The awareness programme received expert support from the Indian Psychiatric Society, Manipur State Branch.
The distinguished resource persons for the session included Prof K Shantibala Devi, Head, Department of Psychiatry, JNIMS and president, Indian Psychiatric Society, Manipur State Branch; Dr Nelson Loitongbam, Assistant Professor, Department of Psychiatry, JNIMS and secretary, Indian Psychiatric Society, Manipur State Branch; and Dr Carol Arambam, Senior Resident, Department of Psychiatry, JNIMS.
The Paediatric Health Camp was led by Dr M Meenakshi, Assistant Professor, Shija Academy of Health Sciences, Langol Health City.
The Psychiatric Health Camp provided consultations to 47 individuals, while 68 children underwent screening during the Paediatric Health Camp.
The awareness programme witnessed participation from over 150 internally displaced persons (IDPs), reflecting strong community engagement.
The day concluded with a light musical performance, offering a moment of cultural respite and collective harmony.
