Imphal, November 11 2025: Clarifying that their ongoing bookfair is not affiliated with the Imphal Book Fair, Wandering Bookfairs has announced that the name of the event has been changed to "Books by Weight -Organized by Wandering Bookfairs" to avoid any misunderstanding.

A press release issued by Keneshor Saikhom, coordinator of Wandering Bookfairs, stated that some members of the general public and booksellers were confused by the title of their book fair currently being held in front of Imphal Art College, near the Imphal War Cemetery.

The confusion arose because they had prefixed the word "Imphal" with "Book Fair", thus resembling the title of the reputed Imphal Book Fair organized by State Central Library, said the statement.

The press release has also extended gratitude to Dr Rajkumari Urmila Devi, Chief Librarian of the State Central Library, Imphal for reminding them and for encouraging their journey to make the North East a region of people who love reading.

Additionally, Wandering Bookfairs has informed all book lovers of Imphal and nearby areas that their ongoing book fair will continue till November 16.The fair, which began on November 8, features a wide selection of books sold by weight, along with several exciting offers and discounts of up to 50% .

Wandering Bookfairs has extended a warm invitation to readers to visit and make the most of this opportunity to explore and own their favourite titles.
