Govt announces merit scholarship for Class X, XII students

Imphal, September 11 2026: The Directorate of Education (Schools), Government of Manipur has notified the Merit Scholarship Scheme for students who passed HSLC Examination 2026 conducted by BOSEM and HSSLC Examination 2026 conducted by COHSEM .

According to the notification issued by the Directorate, HSLC students with CGPA range 8.67 will be eligible for Rs 6000 per annum, with 300 students to be selected.

For HSSLC, Rs 12,000 per annum will be awarded: 125 students in Science stream (rank 1 to 626), 125 in Arts (rank 1 to 598) and 50 in Commerce (rank 1 to 122) .

The list of eligible students based on merit lists furnished by BOSEM and COHSEM can be downloaded from manipureducation.gov.in .

Eligible students can apply and also renew for 2024 on National Scholarship Portal (NSP) scholarships.gov.in .

Online registration will close on September 30, 2026, with institute-level verification till October 15 and state-level verification till October 25 .
