Talent Hunt Competition kicks off

A two-day Talent Hunt Competition began today at the College of Agriculture, Imphal The competition was organised by the Rashtriya Kala Manch, Manipur, with the aim to give young and budding artists a stage to showcase their talents and promote cultural expression among the youth, said a release issued by Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), Manipur.
The inaugural function was graced by Prof Paonam Gunindro, Vice Chancellor, Manipur University of Culture; Prof Premlata Meisnam, ABVP state president and Victoria Salam, national coconvener of Rashtriya Kala Manch as presidium members.
On the first day, a Solo Dance Competition was held with a total of 39 participants from 29 different campuses, ranging from primary to 12th standard.
Each performance stood out with unique grace, creativity, and energy, captivating the audience.
The winners of the Solo Dance Competition in the order of merit are - Malemnganba Angom, Vandy Thounaojam and Khomdram Roshi.
Winners of consolation prizes are - Gurumayum Italy, Thelena Thiyam, Pangambam Pakhangba Meitei, L Somnat and Tonjam Anjinao Devi.
The atmosphere was lively and filled with joy, as faculty members, cultural lovers, and students cheered for the participants, turning the venue into a celebration of art.
The event will continue tomorrow, with a Group Dance Competition, which promises to bring more energy, rhythm, and cultural unity.
