Pumping out water from JNIMS starts

As part of flood relief efforts, the Manipur Fire Service personnel have begun pumping out water from the flood-affected Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS) using heavy machinery and equipment to ensure the hospital's smooth functioning.
Around 90 personnel of the Manipur Fire Service were deployed for the water drainage operation at JNIMS, which took place from 8.30 am to 7 pm today.
The exercise followed an inspection of the flood-affected site by Manipur Fire Service Director L Nabachandra and JNIMS authorities.
Water has been pumped out from various areas, including the Medical Superintendent Block, X-Ray and ART offices, Main Corridor, Male Surgery Ward, Orthopaedic Ward, Gynaecology Ward, Postnatal Ward, Antenatal Ward, and PPT Ward of the hospital.
The exercise will continue at 8 am tomorrow, targeting other areas of JNIMS affected by the flooding.
