Imphal, September 03 2026: Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla, Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh and others have greeted the people on the auspicious occasion of Janmashtami.

Janmashtami commemorates the divine birth of Lord Krishna.

It is not merely a celebration of faith, but also an occasion to reflect upon the values of love, friendship, selfless service and harmony.

"On this sacred occasion, let us renew our commitment to promoting peace, unity, mutual respect and brotherhood among all sections of society," said the Governor in his message to the people.

Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand too greeted the people and wrote, "On this occasion, may the blessings of Lord Krishna bring peace, happiness, prosperity and renewed hope to every family and guide us towards a more harmonious and prosperous future in Manipur" Deputy Chief Minister Losii Dikho, Home Minister Govindas Konthoujam and MLA T Robindro Singh also greeted the people on the occasion.
