Imphal, October 30 2025:
The Thadou Students' Association (TSA-GHQ/AITSA) successfully observed its 68th Foundation Day yesterday under the theme "68 Years of Resilience: Thadou Spirit Beyond Boundaries".
Founded in 1957 at Motbung, Manipur, the TSA marked this milestone with a renewed commitment to its founding ideals of education, unity, and service, said the TSA in the statement.
The observance saw simultaneous flag unfurling ceremonies across all TSA branches, blocks, and units, symbolizing unity and shared purpose.
The president, TSA-GHQ/AITSA, led the central flag ceremony at the General Headquarters in Imphal, joined by members and well-wishers from across India and abroad.
The programme included observance of a moment of silence in honour of former TSA leaders, Thadou martyrs and victims of violence, and reaffirmation of the TSA motto and pledge of unity led by the vice-president (admn), reaffirming the collective spirit and values of the association.
A Virtual Celebratory Webinar was held in the evening on Zoom, featuring reflections from senior leaders, cultural presentations, and greeting messages from TSA branches and units.
The president, in his address, emphasised that despite challenges following the 2023 Manipur violence, the Thadou spirit remains unbroken and urged all to continue working for peace, identity, and unity.
The event concluded with a closing prayer by Joseph, vice-president, TSA Bengaluru, invoking blessings for peace, unity, and progress among the Thadou people.
