Imphal, January 29 2026:
The women's wing of the Coordinating Committee on Manipur Integrity (COCOMI) has called on every Manipuri, irrespective of their communities, to participate in the Manipur Kanba Khongchat (Save Manipur Rally) scheduled for January 31 .
As the rally aims to express the unity of the people in safeguarding Manipur, the All Manipur Muslim Organisations' Co-ordi-nating Committee (AMMO- COC), Kanglei Indigenous Martial Arts and Cultural Society (KIMACS), League of Indigenous People's Upliftment (LIPUL), and the CPI, Manipur State Council have all endorsed the rally in their respective press statements issued today.
Several other organisations had also expressed their support in the previous days.
Speaking to the media at Lamphelpat today, Wahengbam Luwangleima, convenor of the COCOMI women's wing, stated that they have been mobilizing to raise awareness about the January 31 rally.
She appealed to all organisations and individuals who may not have received a formal invitation to join the rally.
People of Manipur have been urging both the Government of India and the State Government to resolve the crisis in Manipur for nearly three years, yet they continue to live in a state of uncertainty, much like a fish trapped in a pot, she said and once again appealed to everyone to join the rally without fail, to demonstrate how India has been treating them.
