Enrolment drive for PMJAY and CMHT concludes

Kakching, July 28 2026: The second phase of a special enrolment saturation camp-cum-awareness campaign for the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY) and Chief Minister-gi Hakshelgi Tengbang (CMHT) health scheme concluded at Mayeng Lamjao Gram Panchayat (GP) on Tuesday.

The district-wide campaign is being organised by the District Implementation Unit (DIU), AB-PMJAY, Kakching, under the supervision of the District Administration, Kakching, with the objective of ensuring that all eligible beneficiaries are enrolled under the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY), the flagship health scheme of the Centre.

The enrolment drive, which began at Hiyanglam GP on July 23 and covered various locations, including Mayeng Lamjao GP, has so far resulted in 38 new AB-PMJAY registrations and the issuance of PMJAY cards to 18 senior citizens.

The campaign has also facilitated 94 PMJAY re-KYC updates, enrolment of one internally displaced person (IDP), approval of two CMHT cards by the Deputy Commissioner, addition of 39 members under the CMHT scheme and reprinting of 571 CMHT cards.

Following the completion of the drive at Mayeng Lamjao GP, the campaign will continue at various locations across the district.

The next phase will be held at Langmeidong GP from July 29 to 31, followed by Panchayat Ghar, Waikhong GP from August 1 to 3, Wangoo GP from August 4 to 11, Sugnu Nagar Panchayat from August 12 to 13, Serou GP from August 14 to 15, Kakching Khunou Nagar Panchayat from August 17 to 19, Chairel GP from August 20 to 21, Sekmaijin GP on August 22, Wabagai GP from August 24 to 25, Keirak GP from August 26 to 27, Hayel Hangoon GP from August 28 to 31, and Pangantabi GP from September 1 to 5 .

The camps are being conducted at the respective Panchayat Ghars or municipal offices to facilitate beneficiary verification, e-KYC, enrolment and issuance or reprinting of Ayushman cards.

AB-PMJAY provides cashless health insurance coverage of up to Rs 5 lakh per family per year for secondary and tertiary hospitalisation to eligible poor and vulnerable families.
