Ningol Chakkouba celebrated across districts with IDPs, differently abled women

In a heartfelt celebration of familial ties and cultural harmony, Ningol Chakkouba was observed with vibrant enthusiasm across districts today.
The festivities commenced across Company Operating Bases at Longa Koireng and Komlakhong in Imphal West, Nambol in Bishnupur and Bungte Chiru and Waroiching in Kangpokpi, said IGAR(South) in a statement.
The festival was also organised at Kakching district at Sugnu and Serou villages.
At Chingtam Community Hall, Sugnu, over 85 participants including 65 women and 20 children from local communities and internally displaced families took part in the celebration.
At the celebration at United Public School, Serou, Meitei, Nepali and Bengali students showcased Manipur's rich diversity with various performances.
The Indian Army too celebrated the festival with displaced families staying at Sawombung IDP camp, Imphal East today.
General Officer Commanding, 57 Mountain Division and social activist Rohan Philem attended the celebration.
Meanwhile, Saksham Manipur celebrated the Ningol Chakkouba with differently abled women at its office premises at Ghari, Airport Road today.
During the celebration, Saksham Manipur Members presented gifts to the differently abled women.
