Khundrakpam AC MLA, NPF and others provide relief aids

Imphal, April 25 2020: Khundrakpam AC MLA Thokchom Lokeshwar Singh has stated that he will provide all possible assistance to the State Government in bringing the Manipuris who are stranded in different parts of the Country to the State.

Speaking to media persons while distributing edibles to the public of his Constituency, the MLA said that of 74 villages in the Constituency, edibles have been distributed at 73 villages and the only remaining village, i.e, Heikak Mapal Makha Leikai will also be soon covered by the relief work.

The MLA also said that anyone from the State who are seeking help to return can contact him via mobile numbers 8787346660 and 9629855942 .

A team of BJP Manipur Pradesh, Imphal Central district led by its president Aribam Punyabanta donated face masks and hand sanitizers to the office of The Sangai Express.

Z Kikhonbou Newmai, Ex-MLA and Vice President of BJP Manipur Pradesh provided essential food commodities such as potatoes, onion, salt, garlics, cooking oil etc to the people of Tamei and Tousem Area.

The food commodities were handed over to the respective village authorities by ADC Member, Ramwangdin Abonmai of Tamei Segment in the presence of Humaliabou, President BJP Tamei Mandal and social workers at Tamei HQ for Tamei area.

Meanwhile Z Kikhonbou Newmai, personally handover the food items to its respective village authorities under Tousem area.

Z Kikhonbou Newmai, expressed his concern over the difficulties and pains that every common men are facing in the area due to the lockdown and assured that he will continue to extend his help to the best of his ability in the near future.

He further requested the Village Authority of the area to assist so as to reach the food items to every hearth.

This relief work will cover every household irrespective of caste, religion, in the whole Tamei AC, said a press statement of president of BJP, Tamei Mandal.

NPF Chandel extends relief aids
The Naga People's Front (NPF) Chandel in collaboration with Sirti Upa Ruh (SUR) under the aegis of NPF Manipur State Unit, extended relief aids to various villages of Monsang community including Maring and Khoibu tribes today at the premises of SUR office, Japhou.

The relief measure is a part of the noble step of Naga People's Front and Sirti Upa Ruh in helping the masses during these trying times of COVID-19 pandemic.

The relief aids were handed over to the beneficiaries by Sh Manglem, Member, 11-Pantha, ADC/Chandel and Ng Gilbert, president, Sirti Upa Ruh (SUR) respectively.

In the 4th phase, relief materials have been distributed to people of Singjamei Assembly Constituency today.

The relief materials - onions, pepper, edible oil, fermented fish etc, under the aegis of Manipur Legislative Assembly Speaker Yumanm Khemchand, were distributed to Ward No 5, Yumnam Leikai area.

Meanwhile, in view of Ramzan, social worker Khagokpam Khamba has distributed relief materials to Muslims in Khurai AC today.

The relief materials were provided to people of Khabeisoi and Khomidok areas as Ramzan gifts under the 'Vision Khurai 2020' programme, said K Khamba wishing Muslims on the occasion.
