Sampoornata Abhiyan Samman Samaroh held at Durbar Hall

Planning Department, Government of Manipur successfully organised the 'Sampoornata Abhiyan Samman Samaroh' at the Durbar Hall of Raj Bhavan, Imphal today.
The event was graced by distinguished dignitaries, including Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla, Chief Secretary Dr PK Goel and other senior officers of the State.
Additional Chief Secretary Anurag Bajpai also attended the event from Churachandpur District Headquarter via video conferencing.
As per a release issued by the Planning Department, the event began with the presentations on the progress of the Aspirational District and Blockswere by Deputy Commissioners of Chandel and Churachandpur districts.
The Governor handed over awards and appreciation certificates from NITI Aayog to M Rajkumar Singh, former Deputy Commissioner of Chandel; L Nandakumar Singh, incumbent Deputy Commissioner of Chandel; and Dharun Kumar S, Deputy Commissioner of Churachandpur.
He also handed over certificates to the officers, officials, Anganwadi workers, members of self-help groups, and other frontline workers of the districts.
Anurag Bajpai distributed certificates to the officers, officials and frontline workers of Churachandpur in the district headquarter.
Addressing the gathering, Ajay Kumar Bhalla expressed pride in the remarkable achievements under the Sampoornata Abhiyan 2024, a flagship initiative of NITI Aayog under the Aspirational Districts Programme and Aspirational Blocks Programme.
He highlighted that the Abhiyan was not just about achieving targets but about ensuring that every family has access to essential services; such as maternal healthcare, child immunisation and farmer support.
The Governor commended Chandel district for achieving saturation in five out of six key indicators under the Abhiyan, with notable progress in antenatal care registration rising from 50% to over 96% within three months.
Chakpikarong Block of Chandel secured the 6th rank among 500 blocks across India and received an additional allocation of Rs 1.5 crore from NITI Aayog.
Stating that the success of Churachandpur district was equally inspiring, he said, "Lamka South Block achieved 100% saturation across all six indicators, becoming one of the only 91 blocks nationwide to reach this milestone and received an additional allocation of Rs 1.5 crore from NITI Aayog.
Tuibong Block secured the 17th rank nationally by achieving saturation in four out of six indicators.
Both were recognised with awards by NITI Aayog" .
He urged all stakeholders to sustain the momentum and extend the lessons learned across the State, reaffirming that the vision of Viksit Bharat can only be realised when no family is left behind in the journey of progress.
The Governor further appealed to all stakeholders to work together to strive for a Manipur where every family is healthy, every child is educated, every firmer is empowered, and every community is self-reliant.
"That is the true spirit of Sampoornata Abhiyan", the Governor added.
