Students campaign for clean environment at Kanglatongbi

Imphal, November 19 2025: Olivia Higher Secondary School, Kanglatongbi has successfully conducted a 'Students-Led Movement' under the theme, "Anti-Litter" at Kanglatongbi Bazaar, Imphal West district.

Today, students of Olivia Higher Secondary School carried out a rally in Kanglatongbi Bazaar to spread awareness among local vendors and the public.

The students shouted various slogans such as "Avoid Plastic", "Use Dustbin", "Let's Make Our Environment Clean", "Stop Littering", etc in different languages, including Meitei, Nepali, Hindi, English and Liangmai, to ensure the message reach everyone effectively.

The initiative reflected the growing concern over increasing pollution and irresponsible waste disposal in busy market areas.

By involving students, the school aimed to inspire a sense of responsibility, discipline and civic duty among the younger generation.

As per officials of the school, youth-led movements like this can create a ripple effect, motivating shopkeepers, residents, transporters and daily commuters to adopt cleaner habits.

The campaign also encouraged community participation, reminding everyone that a clean environment leads to a healthier society.

Through this campaign, Olivia Higher Secondary School has set an example of youth-led environmental activism and reinforced the collective duty to protect and preserve Manipur for future generations.
