NPP Moirang Block demands declaration of ITLF, CoTU as terrorist organizations

National People's Party Moirang Block has urged the Government to declare the Indigenous Tribal Leader Forum (ITLF) Churachandpur and the Committee on Tribal Unity (CoTU) Kangpokpi as terrorist organizations during a condolence meeting held yesterday.
It may be noted that the National People's Party has withdrawn its support to the State BJP Government.
The condolence meeting was held at the residence of Thongam Shanti, MLA, Moirang Assembly Constituency to mourn the tragic killing of the three children and three women by Kuki militants.
The condolence service was chaired by Haji Umat Ali, working president, NPP Moirang Block, with the attendance of many party members and office bearers.
The gathering observed a 2-minute silence to condole the deaths and offered prayers armed with candles for the innocent souls to rest in eternal peace.
"Strongly condemning the inhumane killings, the gathering also passed several resolutions including to demand the revocation of SoO pact, withdrawal of AFSPA which has been reimposed across the jurisdiction of six police stations and to collectively, preserve the territorial integrity of Manipur.
NPP, Moirang Block also resolved to intimate their demands to the concerned higher, authorities" .
