Following the launch of nationwide intensive campaign "Swasth Nari Sashakt Pari vaf'by Prime Minister Narendra Modi from Dhar, Madhya Pradesh, the State today joined the nation in launching the "Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan" alongside "Poshan Maah" (nutrition week), to raise awareness about women's health and nutrition.
Kakching
'Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan' was formally launched today at Ayushman Arogya Mandir at Keirak Kangjeibung in Kakching district by Dr Thaodem Rajen, Chief Medical Officer of Kakching.
The programme was graced by Elangbam Shanti Leima, as chief guest: Dr Thoudem Rajen as president and Dr Ksh Sumati, District Immunization Officer in-charge Kakching, Dr N Sanjoy, DTO Kakching, Dr T Jullon, DNO CPHC/NCD Kakching and O Pushpa, DPM, as guests of honour.
As part of the launch, ENT and eye check-up, blood pressure and blood sugar testing, dental checkup, cancer screenings (oral, breast, and cervical), antenatal check-ups for pregnant women, immunisation, anaemia assessment, tuberculosis testing and sickle cell anaemia screening was conducted.
In addition, Ayushman Bharat Health Account ID creation and Pradhan Mantri - Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY) enrollment were carried out.
The campaign will continue for two months across Community Health Centres, Primary Health Centres, Urban Primary Health Centres, and Primary Health Sub-Centres of the district.
A team from the Food Safety Department, led by the Food Safety Officer, also set up a stall to raise awareness about the importance of nutritious food among participating women.
Meanwhile, the 8th edition of Rashtriya Poshan Maah under the theme "Right Nutrition, Healthy Life" was launched yesterday in Kakching District.
As part of the campaign, an awareness rally was organised today in Kakching town to raise awareness of good nutrition, early childhood care and education (Poshan Bhi, Padhai Bhi), tackling obesity and promoting healthy infant and young child feeding practices.
Jiribam
The District Administration, Jiribam in association with Directorate of Health Services and National Health Mission, Manipur officially launched the "Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar" campaign alongside "Poshan Maah" (nutrition week) under Social Welfare Department, Government of Manipur in convergence with partnering departments under Government of Manipur for Jiribam District at the Community Health Centre/ Jiribam District Hospital, Ningsingkhul on Wednesday.
While launching the campaign Deputy Commissioner, Jiribam Krishna Kumar, emphasized the crucial role of ASHA and Anganwadi workers in promoting women's health and nutrition.
He highlighted that the campaigns focused on women's health, children's nutrition and provide various health services including CD checks, Heart and hypertension checks, Diabetes checks, Ante-natal check-ups, Treatment for minor and major ailments, Health checks for adolescent girls, including menstrual health issues and Counseling sessions.
Krishna Kumar urged the public to visit the nearest health facilities including the Jiribam District Hospital and CHC in Borobekra.
The "Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar" campaign, which will run until October 2,2025, will provide extensive services including Janani Suraksha Yojana, Janani Shishu Suraksha Karyakram, Pradhan Mantri Surakshit Matritva Abhiyan, Family Planning Services and Universal Immunization programme will be delivered extensively.
A special registration campaign will also be conducted for enrollment of Pradhan Mantri Matriya Vandana Yojana through nearest Ayushman Arogya Mandirs, Community Health Centers, Government Hospitals and Anganwadi Centers.
Pherzawl
Deputy Commissioner of Pherzawl, Mannuamching today launched the district-level Swachhata Hi Seva 2025 campaign at the Conference Hall of DC Office.
The campaign, which will run from September 17 to October 2, aims to engage communities across the district in promoting hygiene and sanitation practices.
Speaking on the occasion, DC Mannuamching emphasised the importance of maintaining cleanliness as a way of life, highlighting its close link to health and wellness.
Officials including SP T Lalboi Haokip, ADC Joel Haokip, DFO Pherzawl, SDOs and DLOs attended the launch event.
In a separate initiative, DC Mannuamching also flagged off Poshan Maah 2025, a month-long nationwide campaign focused on nutrition and health.
This year's campaign across the district will focus on six priority areas including Obesity management, Early childhood care and education, Infant and young child feeding practices and more.
The District Social Welfare Department urged the public to come forward and actively participate in building a "Suposhit Bharat - Nourished India" .
Senapati
A health camp under the Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyan (SNSPA) was organised by the DHS Senapati, IDSP, and DSU Senapati at the District Hospital on Thursday.
Earlier the programme was graced by Deputy Commissioner of Senapati, Mamoni Doley, and CMO Dr Sumpi Percy.
Similar camps were also conducted at Paomata and Maram Khunou.
Officials informed that following the national launch of Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyan on Sep 17, a series of health campas and activities would be conducted across Senapati district from Sep 18 to Oct 2.A total of 24 health centres will host screenings for non-communicable diseases, cancer, TB, anaemia, antenatal care, immunization adolescent and menstrual services, ABHA creation, PMJAY card.
