Blood donation camp held at Tamenglong

Tamenglong, June 18 2025:
A blood donation camp was held today at District Hospital Tamenglong as part of the ongoing observance of World Blood Donor's Day, 2025 .
The blood donation camp held under the theme "Give Blood, Give Hope: Together we save lives" was taken part by various individuals from all walks of life, from diverse communities.
The blood donation camp was organised to raise public awareness about the critical need for blood and plasma donations, to encourage donors for regular donation, and to highlight the positive impact of blood donors on the health and well-being of others and promote the values of oneness and community.
Speaking in this connection, Meijinkam Gangmei, a Pastor of a local Church in Tamenglong urged everyone to come out and donate blood.
"To save the lives of a million, it must start with one donor at a time," he asserted.
Another donor, a Hindu by faith hailing from Imphal, Soram Ashakumar Singh expressed his joy and satisfaction in being able to contribute, hoping their blood would save lives.
During the camp, a total of 61 donors donated their blood.
