Preparatory meeting held in Noney for Republic Day celebrations

Noney, January 16 2026: A preparatory meeting in connection with the upcoming Republic Day celebration was held on Friday at the conference hall of the Deputy Commissioner's Office, Noney District Headquarter.

The meeting was opened by Deputy Commissioner Vidyamari Sridhar, and was presided over by ADM ST Rithung Anal.

During the meeting, the DC instructed all the line departments under the Noney District to take up necessary arrangements for the smooth conduct of the Republic Day programme.

The departments were assigned responsibilities including cleaning and watering of the celebration venue, decoration of the venue and stage, installation of lighting, construction of gates at various locations, seating arrangements, arrangements of medical facilities, refreshments and other necessary activities.

The DC also directed Zonal Education Officer (ZEO), Noney, to coordinator with the school principals and students for the arrangement of march-past contingent and also assigned the 19th AR Noney for the arrangement of band party and other related services.

It was informed during the meeting that, as ip previous years, Longmai Common Ground at Longmai-3 has been selected as the venue for the Republic Day celebration: Rehearsals are scheduled to commence from January 23, with the full dress; rehearsal to be held on January 24, informed the DC .

The preparatory meeting was attended by District Level Officers (DLOs) of all the lines department under Noney District.
