DAJA Reel Campaign Awards 2025 announced

Imphal, July 14 2025: As part of India's largest-ever tribal empowerment initiative- Dharti Aaba Janbhagidari Abhiyan (DAJA), the DAJA Reel Campaign Awards 2025 have been officially announced by the State IEC Team under the Tribal Research Institute (TRI), Department of Tribal Affairs & Hills, Manipur.

According to a release issued by LN Kashung, Director (TA & Hills/TRI), Manipur, to harness the power of youth creativity and digital media, the campaign launched an open call for Instagram reels to amplify the message of empowerment and sustainable development of tribal populations.

After careful selection, six outstanding reels have been chosen for their impact, storytelling, and creative excellence.

Siwiliu Abonmai from Machengluang village, Tamenglong district has been awarded the Best Reel Campaigner.

Her reel stood out for its crystal-clear message, simplicity, and engaging presentation-proving that authenticity and creativity can move hearts and minds.

Top five reel stars are- Ashiho Athili from Shajouba village, Senapati; Jaiganmei Kamei from Koirengei Kabui village, Imphal; Kangba Lovejoy from Katomei village, Senapati; Saka Mashangva from Morhak Production, Ukhrul; and Vadunai Salvina from Purul, Senapati.

These young content creators used the power of reels to spotlight the transformative potential of PM-JANMAN (Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adivasi Nyaya Maha Abhiyan) and DAJGUA (Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan), the Government of India's flagship schemes for tribal welfare, which have been reaching over 516 villages in Manipur as part of the DAJA campaign.

The winning entries were selected by a distinguished jury comprising Alexander Leo Pou, Director, Manipur State Film and Television Institute; Ashok Veilou and Oinam Doren, multiple Award-winning Filmmakers.

The winners will be felicitated at the grand finale of the DAJA Campaign on July 16, 2025 in Imphal, in the presence of State Government dignitaries.
