Imphal, August 13 2025: Stating that nothing is more important than saving the motherland, Lamlai AC MLA Khongbantabam Ibomcha has urged people to unite for Manipur.

He made the remark at the first State Level Open Patriotic Song Competition organised by BJP Khurai Mandal today at Khurai Popular High School ground in Khurai Konsam Leikai.

The event kicked off with the offering of floral tributes to the portraits of Thangal General and Bir Tikendrajit and witnessed the attendance of people from different areas.

Speaking on the occasion, Kh Ibomcha said that one's motherland is of the utmost priority and giving the supreme sacrifice for your State is a matter of great pride.

He advised people against engaging in mud-slinging tactics for personal gain and instead urged them to unite and work together.

Manipur can thrive and develop only when the people are united, he added.

Kh Ibomcha stated that Manipur should be at the forefront of discussions and discourse about the party can be held later.

If Manipur happens to be disintegrated then what will be the point of elections, he questioned.

Meanwhile, Khurai AC MLA L Susindro accused the Congress party of attempting to mislead the public with false information and urged people to remain cautious.

The event was also graced by L Kananbala, president, BJP Khurai Mandal and other BJP Khurai Mandal leaders.
