The inaugural event for a two-day ToT (Training of Trainers) workshop for master trainers on the Targeted Intervention Refresher Training Modules was held today at Nirvana Foundation's Training & Resource Centre.
The workshop was organised with support from the National AIDS Control Organisation (NACO), Manipur State AIDS Control Society and SAATHII as part of the.
Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria (GFATM) Round 7 initiative.
As per a statement, the event commenced at 9:30 am today and was graced by Dr Beema H, Deputy Director, Store, Manipur State AIDS Control Society; Dr KC Luwang, District AIDS Control Officer, DAPCU, Imphal East; S Hedvees Christopher, National Programme Specialist, SAATHII and Sobhana Sorokhaibam, secretary, Nirvana Foundation.
Other notable dignitaries include Y Amritabala Devi, Prevention Division, Manipur SACS, Senior Master Trainers, Master Trainers and all the staff of Kshamta Kendra, Nirvana Foundation.
A total of 26 master trainers are attending the workshop.
Notably, the objectives of the Master Trainer workshop include: strengthening technical knowledge of Master Trainers on the refresher training modules for the targetted intervention prevention frontline staff; enhancing facilitation and adult training skills to improve participatory and learner-centered training delivery through teach back sessions; standardizing training quality across Kshamta Kendras by aligning facilitation techniques, content delivery and session management with updated training modules and defining the role of Master Trainers in conducting down training for the frontline prevention staff.
